For 15 years, Sjan Johansen has brought brands to life through the art of visual storytelling. 

During this time, Sjan collaborated with some of New Zealand and Australia's most iconic brands. Her unique aesthetic and eye for detail earned her a reputation as a leader within the styling industry, renowned for transforming spaces and creating meaningful connections with audiences.

From large-scale installations in New Zealand’s busiest shopping centres to on-set styling for interiors, commercials, and television, Sjan knows how to create spaces that captivate, invite curiosity, and inspire engagement.

Her deep passion for space, form, and function naturally led her into interior styling - a journey that unearthed  a love for design beyond retail. This evolution has shaped her ability to create spaces that not only look beautiful, but feel intentional, lived-in, and genuinely like home.

Working with clients across Auckland, Waikato, the Bay of Plenty, and beyond, Sjan approaches every project with strategic clarity, aligning each creative decision with a brand’s identity and business goals.

From Visual Merchandising and on-set styling to conceptual campaigns and large-scale installations, Sjan offers a full suite of styling services. Based in New Zealand, but always open to travel, she welcomes opportunities both local and international.

Since we started over 15 years ago, we have been devoted to conceptualising, styling, dressing and building all kinds of spaces.  

 

We strive to create spaces that are approachable, fresh and inviting. We work with a wide range of clients and scopes to create a look that is unique and based on that specific client’s needs.

I’ve worked with Sjan for over 6 years now, with her team installing visual merchandising displays on a monthly basis. The team always has a great repour with our retailers, sticks to deadlines, works to budget, and creates a beautiful result.

Sjan led the project to design the dining room of our first ever restaurant. We immediately felt at ease as Sjan was able understand the personalities of the 4 owners and how important it was to portray them in the space.

Sjan confidentially managed all aspects of the design process, delivering an inspired space we were all so proud of. It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside Sjan and would gladly do so again.

Sjan and I worked together recently on a cover shoot for 'Your Home & Garden' Magazine.

Sjan was a great asset on the shoot. She came well prepared with various options for props and set dressing.

She has an excellent eye for style, a professional presence and an ability to exceed the expectations of a brief.
